The rich decoration around the perimeter is engraved with impressive details and Byzantine designs. Excellent quality and sharpness serigraph with "vibrant" colors on wood. On the top side of the icon there is a small metal loop so that it can be hung.
The Revelation of Saint John was written during his exile on Patmos and is based on the vision he received on a Sunday, overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit. He heard a voice like a trumpet urging him to record all that he would see and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia, and Laodicea. The icon depicts Jesus Christ with white hair and beard, dressed in a tunic and a golden belt. In His right hand, He holds seven stars, symbolizing the angels of the churches, while on His left side a sharp sword is depicted. He stands between lampshades (1:12-13), which represent the churches (1:20). He is also surrounded by seven angels, each of whom is associated with one church as a Bishop. Finally, at the bottom of the icon, people who are immersed in smoke and fire, symbolize the corruption of the world and sin.
